In Loving Memory of Vernon Leonard Wilson, II

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vernon Leonard Wilson, II, who received his wings on August 29, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 14, 1981, in Norfolk, Virginia, Vernon was the beloved son of Barbara Wilson Sykes and Vernon Leonard Wilson Sr.

Vernon’s life was marked by his passion for computer technologies, electronics, and the culinary arts. He found success and fulfillment in these fields, always striving to learn and share his talents with others.

Those who knew Vernon remember him as loving and kind, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. His generosity was unmatched—he would give you the shirt off his back. Vernon’s spirit brought joy and warmth to everyone around him.1

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Barbara J. Sykes, Grandmother; Dorothy Spers,  Deneice, Mark, Kelli, Clovia and Angie; one Aunt, Vanessa; three uncles, Ricky, Titus, and Solomon Sykes; and a host of cousins, friends, and associates.

Vernon was predeceased by his father, Vernon Sr.; grandmother Minister Louise Sykes; grandfather Cad Sykes Sr.; Great Grandmother; Robie Spears, Aunt, Cindy; Uncle, Cad Sykes Jr.; his beloved step-grandmother Ruth G. Smith; and many great aunts and uncles.1

Vernon will be deeply missed and forever loved. May he rest in peace.
