Jacqueline Kay Colbath
November 7, 1955 — May 2, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Kay Colbath on May 2, 2026, at age 70, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth Trevathan and was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clifton Trevathan, and her husband Walter Colbath.
Jackie married Walter in 1986, and together they built a life in Rockport, running a local mechanic shop where she served as office manager. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence shaped both their business and the community around her.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Jackie cherished her daughter Melissa and adored her grandchildren—Hunter, Cayden, and BriAnn. She will be remembered for her laughter, compassion, and the everyday acts of love that defined her life.
Jackie’s generosity and gentle spirit touched many friends and neighbors. Her resilience and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to cancer research organizations.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Melissa; her grandchildren Hunter, Cayden, and BriAnn; her siblings Gwen Keaton (Buddy), Cynthia Braddock, and Donald Trevathan (Irene); and many relatives and friends who will carry her memory forward.
