Gail Ruth Reeves Childers

Gail Ruth Reeves Childers passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023, with her husband and daughter by her side.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack Childers of Rockwall, TX, daughter Emma McDonald of Rowlett, TX, grandchildren Austin, Wesley and William McDonald, and nieces and nephews Mary (Jim) Burden, Duane Pollard, Dennis (Reba) Pollard and Lisa (John) Mayfield.

She is preceded in death by mother Mary Emma Emory Reeves, father A.O. Reeves, sisters Janet Johnson, Carol Pollard and nephews David Pollard and Vincent Johnson.

Gail was born in Akron, OH and graduated from Kimball High School in Oak Cliff, TX. She was a long-time resident of Cedar Hill, TX. Gail was active in the American Dental Assistants Association, Girl Scouts as a troop leader, church choir and ran her own crown and bridge dental lab business for some time. Gail loved ceramics, coffee and cats, and will be missed by her long-haired Calico “Crystal”. Gail will be remembered as a kind and empathic friend, wife and mother.
