Cecil Ray Simmons

 

 

Cecil R Simmons was born September 8, 1946 at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Tx. to John R. Simmons and Hattie F. (Martin) Simmons. Cecil served in the United States Air Force as an Air Craft Mechanic. He married his wife Kathy on January 31, 1970. They lived in BalchSprings, Tx. and were married for 55 years. Rarely did you see one without the other. Anyone that knew and loved him called him Pete. He was loved and will be truly missed by many. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was one of a kind and anyone that knew him would tell you the same thing. His favorite thing to tell his grand daughters was you are so beautiful and to his grandsons you are so handsome. He also said he had the smartest and most beautiful grandkids and the smartest and most beautiful great-grandbabies.

Cecil was at his daughter’s home in Scurry, Tx. surrounded by many of his loved ones on October 11, 2025 when he went to his eternal resting place to be with his Lord.

Cecil is preceded by his wife Kathy (Herron) Simmons, his daughter Shelly Guigneaux and husband Nick, his daughter Cristy Johnston and husband Shaun. Grandchildren Jacob Stiltz and wife Katy, Skyler Johnston, Savannah Torres and husband Alex, Madelyn Guigneaux, Preston Matthiessen, Quinton Guigneaux, and Lily Guigneaux. Great grandchildren Liam Stiltz, Emery Torres, and Eden Torres. His brother Larry Simmons, sister Patricia Evans – Caffey, and sister Cathy York and many more family members.
