Jamie Rae Lancaster-Drummond, 41, of Garland, TX, passed away on April 7, 2026, after suffering multiple strokes.
Jamie was born on May 14, 1984, to Lynda Cathey-Farooqi and Mike Lancaster in Dallas, TX. After finishing school at from Poteet High School in 2002, she went on to pursue her dreams and positively influenced everyone she met along the way.
In 2015, Jamie met Justin Drummond. Jamie and Justin were together for almost eleven years and married for nearly nine years. Jamie had no children of her own but was a loving stepmother to two wonderful children.
Jamie loved spending her free time socializing, listening to music, writing, drawing, and being silly just to put a smile on everyone’s face.
Jamie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Drummond; grandparents William Austin and Lenora Reese Cathey; grandmother Joyce Wylie; great-aunts and great-uncles; and her previous fiancé, Taylor Thompson. She is survived by her husband of nine years, Justin Drummond; stepchildren Danielle and Dillon; her mother, Lynda Cathey-Farooqi; her father, Mike Lancaster; her sister, Mollie Nailon; her nieces Stevie, Charlie, and Frankie; her mother-in-law, Tammy Drummond; her sister-in-law, Jualana Drummond; aunts Cheryl Reed, Margaret Cathey, Janice Kimbell, and Barbara Dyer; and numerous cousins.
Services will be held at Lakeview Christian Church on May 14, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that balloons be brought to release together.
