Jeffery L. Makros
On Wednesday November 2,2022 Jeffery Lynn Makros took his last breath here on earth and his first breath in Heaven. Born in Denison, Texas on the 21st of February 1964 to Velma Earlene Crouse and Louis Angel Makros.
Jeff spent his childhood between Texas, Massachusetts and Oklahoma. He entered the National Guard Reserves after attending high school in Atoka, Oklahoma. It was then while he was on leave from the Reserves that he met the love of his life, Debra Juaneita Edwards. After a brief courtship they were married April 6,1984 and resided in Oklahoma before moving to Mesquite, Texas where they built a 38year life together.
While attending school in Atoka, Oklahoma he met his lifelong friend and partner in crime, Kent Studdert. Together they shared a passion for the outdoors from camping, fishing, hunting and water sports. Most of the time if you couldn’t find Jeff, he was probably with Kent fishing.
Mesquite brought with it a newly found calling for a manufacturing career. He always strived to earn respect from his peers and took pride in doing anything asked of him to the best of his abilities.
When they were younger it was not uncommon for Jeff and Debra to have a house full of family and friends, especially during the summer when they hosted swimming and barbeque parties.
Preceded in death by his mother, Velma Earlene Vavra, grandparents M.L. “Jim” and Helen Crouse, Angel and Pauline Makros.
Survived by his wife of 38 years, Debra Makros, sister Wanda Bodensteiner and husband Robert, brother Michael Makros and wife Reba. Brother-in-law Mike Edwards and wife Rhonda, brother-in-law Rodney Wooten and wife Rebecca. Also including Debra’s parents Wayne and Etta Wooten, his best friend Kent Studdert and wife Carolyn and several loved nieces and nephews.
Per Jeff’s request there will be no funeral or memorial. However, the family would like you to join us in a Celebration of Life honoring Jeff.
