Joy Darlene Lowe

Joy Darlene Lowe was born February 6, 1957, in Dallas, Texas and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, February 4, 2025.

Joy grew up in Garland, where her artistic spirit began to shine. As a young woman, she expressed herself through poetry and spent cherished time with her family, including siblings and cousins. She found joy in creativity, from gardening to crafts, and had a deep love for flowers. A woman of many talents, Joy had an eye for beauty in all that she did.

Throughout her life, Joy wore many hats—daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend to many. She had a vivacious spirit that brightened the lives of those around her. Her love extended not only to people but also to her beloved puppies. She had a passion for gardening, and her hands were rarely idle, whether tending to her flowers or supporting her husband, Dennis, in his yardwork or woodworking by ensuring he had all the right tools.

Joy’s caring nature led her to counsel children and adults who had faced various types of abuse, and she dedicated much of her time volunteering with Alcoholics Anonymous. She was a natural caregiver, always seeking to help others heal and find hope.

Professionally, Joy excelled in sales within the construction industry, becoming a master of her craft. She played a pivotal role in major projects, ensuring the doors, trim, windows, and hardware for landmarks like Mockingbird Station, the Dallas Farmers Market, and numerous other projects were just right. Her attention to detail and dedication left a lasting mark on the city she called home.

Joy was preceded in death by her father, Joe Michael Hennig; mother, Christeen Faye Hennig; and brother, Joe Raymond Hennig.

She is survived by: Husband, Dennis Lowe, Stepdaughter; Angie Daniels and husband Ron, Puppies; Razzle and Bubba, Grandchildren; Zachary Daniels, Blake Daniels and wife Barbara, Great-Grandchildren; Nora Daniels, Sister; Barbara Gayle Osborn, Brother; Paul Victor Hennig, Nieces; Lora and husband Steve Byram, Michelle Shroyer, Nephew; David Osborn and wife Valerie, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
