Jeffrey W. Shirley

On the afternoon of July 30, 2023, Jeffrey Shirley passed away at the age of 64.

Jeff was born to Jane and James outside of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Augustana College in 1981. In September 1984, he married Kathryn McCabe, and together they raised four children, Kate, Matt, Rachel, and Megan. He established an impressive career in real estate development, concluding at Centurion American as the Vice President of Finance where he served for over 15 years.

Jeff had a passion for music, spending time in nature, and supporting his family and friends. He was known for his work ethic, fun-loving spirit, and dancing like no one was watching.

           Jeff is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, his daughter, Megan and his mom and stepfather Jane and Jim Eichorst. Jeff is survived by his father James, his children Kate Busby (Paul), Matt Shirley (Taylor), and Rachel Shirley, his brother Michael (Jaquie), brother-in-law Mike McCabe (Cindy), his nephews Nick Shirley and Mark and John McCabe, and his niece Suzy Shirley. He also leaves behind many other beloved family members, friends, pets, and colleagues.

           A public memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on August 8, 2023, at Flower Mound United Methodist Church.
