James Prescott

James Edwin Prescott was born on February 25, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. James died on February 5, 2024 in Royse City, Texas.

James was the son of Curtis Eugene Prescott and Patsy L. (Moore) Prescott. James was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Patsy, his brother Terry Simmons, his aunt Nelda Sullivan and his uncle James Pete “Red” Schones.

James leaves a legacy of love and laughter that will be treasured by his wife, Ashley (Greene) Prescott of Royse City, Texas; step-daughter Emily Coronado of Garland; sister, Kimberly Betz of Dallas, Texas; niece, Lily Betz; brother, Glenn Prescott and wife Janet, of Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia; brother Kerry Matherly and wife Judy, of Reno, Nevada; aunt Verna Schones, nephew Aaron Prescott ,wife Autumn and family; niece Megan Prescott; nephew Levi Matherly, wife Michelle and family; aunts Donna Davis and Wanda Elliott; and many more beloved relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held to honor James Prescott on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1pm at the First United Methodist Church in Royse City, Texas.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on 3-02-2024 at First United Methodist Church , 305 N. Josephine St., Royse City, Tx 75189.
